Jardin Majorelle

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
The Majorelle Garden (Arabic: حديقة ماجوريل‎) is a twelve-acre botanical garden and artist’s landscape garden in Marrakech, Morocco. It was designed by the expatriate French artist Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s and 1930s, during the colonial period when Morocco was a protectorate of France.

Jacques Majorelle created and trademarked the color now known as Majorelle Blue.  The property was acquired by Yves Saint Laurent and his partner, who renovated it, added a fascinating Berber Museum and – I think it was they – it with cacti and succulents native to California and Mexico.
